Replacing Israel with Anti-Semitism in the Church, and What It Means for the End Times

Replacement theology in the Christian view of the Messiah has taken us far off target, and it affects our end-times theology. The common view of the church replacing Israel has caused huge consequences. Many Jews have a hard time believing in a Jewish Messiah that has replaced them. Many other Jews realize the truth that replacement theology is wrong and that the Messiah is still in a covenant relationship with them, as they have come to the understanding of wonderful saving grace.

The incident comes as authorities were beefing up security ahead of the popular emperor's abdication on Tuesday after a 30-year reign. The man, identified as Kaoru Hasegawa, was arrested on suspicion of illegally entering the premises of the junior high school the 12-year-old prince attends on Friday, public broadcaster NHK and other news reports said.

Here's What Happens After Russia or China Sink a U.S. Navy Aircraft Carrier

Here's What Happens After Russia or China Sink a U.S. Navy Aircraft CarrierAn attack that sank a carrier with significant casualties, on the other hand, might well result in demands for vengeance, the specific circumstances of the attack notwithstanding. This could put U.S. policymakers in the awkward position of needing to escalate, without being able to use some of the most lethal military options in their toolkit.Since the 1950s, the supercarrier has been the most visible representation of U.S. military power and maritime hegemony. Although supercarriers have participated in nearly every military conflict since the commissioning of USS Forrestal in 1955, no carrier has come under determined attack from a capable opponent. In part, this is because supercarriers are very difficult to attack, but the symbolic grandeur of the massive ships also plays a role; no one wants to know what the United States might do if one of its carriers came under attack.(This first appeared several months ago.)What would happen if a foe attacked a United States Navy (USN) aircraft carrier during a conflict? How would the United States react, and how would it respond?Circumstances:

Jordan Peterson accuses Cambridge University of being 'unprofessional' after he found out from Twitter that he was stripped of fellowship

Jordan Peterson accuses Cambridge University of being 'unprofessional' after he found out from Twitter that he was stripped of fellowshipThe controversial professor Jordan Peterson has said Cambridge University is "unprofessional" after he found out the institution had stripped him of a fellowship via Twitter. Dr Peterson, who will be speaking at a sold-out show at the Hammersmith Apollo next month, said he felt "sorrow" and "shock" over the decision, which came as Cambridge academics lambasted the university for inviting him. Many have dismissed the views of the Canadian psychologist, who has hundreds of thousands of fans and styles himself as the "professor against political correctness". He has argued for enforced monogamy, pushed the view that men are victims of gender discrimination, and said that the idea of white privilege is a “Marxist lie.” The professor has also come under fire for posing in a photograph next to a man in a shirt with the slogan "proud Islamaphobe". However, he has said the university was wrong to strip him of his visiting fellowship, telling the Sunday Times magazine: "It was unprofessional in a way that is almost incomprehensible to me. I can't believe how it was handled." The professor added that the decision it reflects the general attitude of universities and their "continual, quasi-Marxist assault" on the "foundational ideas of our culture." He also defended sacked government advisor Roger Scruton, who was relieved of his position on the Building Better Building Beautiful Commission over remarks he made about Islamophobia and the Chinese government. Dr Peterson said Mr Scruton was "witch-hunted" out of his position, adding: "It's not surprising, this kind of thing happens all the time now. "People make mistakes, they're taken out of context. If the rule is going to be that if you have ever said anything that could be interpreted as offensive by the minority, no matter how small - I don't mean ethnic, I mean minority of people - you are no longer fit for public office or public discussion or anything of significance, then how the hell are you going to escape that?"

North Korea vs. the F-35 Stealth Fighter (Who Wins? Who Dies?)Alternatively, the F-35A might be assigned to dangerous suppression or destruction of enemy air defenses (SEAD/DEAD) missions. The stealth and onboard jamming capabilities of the F-35 would make it more survivable than the ROKAF’s 4th generation aircraft in such a role. The ROKAF, South Korea’s Air Force received their first F-35A fighter jets in April 2019. The ROKAF hopes to eventually buy forty F-35As and should have ten F-35As by the end of the year.(This first appeared several weeks ago.)But how do these aircraft fit into the ROKAF’s existing fleet of aircraft? What role could they play in countering the North Korean KPAF?The ROKAF already fields a variety of advanced American fighters, including over one hundred KF-16Cs and around 60 F-15K Slam Eagles. The KF-16C is fully integrated with the American AMRAAM air-to-air missile, which the ROKAF fields in the AIM-120C-5 and AIM-120C-7 variants. The combination of the KF-16C and AMRAAM vastly outclasses the majority of fighters the KPAF can field. The bulk of the KPAF fighter fleet is built out of MiG-21 variants and the J-7 fighter, which can only mount short-range infrared air-to-air missiles. KF-16Cs could just fire AMRAAMs, turn around and bug out before the KPAF MiGs lock on, though individual conditions could dictate engagement at shorter ranges.

Time to impeach? Headache for Democrats over how to take on Trump

Many Democrats believe the Mueller report gives ample justification to start impeachment proceedings – but others maintain it might help Trump

When special counsel Robert Mueller’s exhaustive report on Russian meddling in the US presidential election was released to the public earlier this month, the House speaker, Nancy Pelosi, was in Ireland. Her caucus was spread across the globe on congressional trips abroad or in their home districts, preparing for Easter or Passover.

After a two-week recess that provided ample time to read the 448-page report – a devastating portrait of a presidential campaign eager to accept help from a foreign adversary and president intent on using the power of his office to protect himself, his family and his allies – Democrats return to Washington divided as the fate of Donald Trump’s presidency shifts to Congress.

The Trump administration faced fresh scrutiny on Sunday over the president’s fraught record on white nationalism in the wake of a suspected hate crime at a synagogue in California on Saturday, which left one woman dead and three injured.

Big tech must get its house in order or risk stronger regulation | Michael Boskin

Governments had to act on Facebook, Google and Amazon – but they could stifle innovation

Two years ago, it seemed clear that a combination of factors would lead to increased calls to regulate technology companies, especially the big tech giants Amazon, Apple, Facebook and Google. When that happens, I argued at the time, regulatory policy would have to strike a sensible balance between mitigating the most harmful effects of technology and allowing tech companies to continue improving people’s lives.

Now that day has arrived and achieving such a balance will be difficult. Having benignly neglected these companies for years, democratic governments are now producing a dizzying array of policies to regulate them. The risk is that the flurry of policymaking will overcorrect and do more harm than good, not least by unintentionally stifling innovation and competition.

Daimler’s quarterly operating profit has fallen by 16% as a €718m (£620m) one-off gain failed to offset the impact of falling sales in China and production delays at three Mercedes-Benz factories.

Sales of Mercedes-Benz cars fell 7% in the first quarter 0f 2019, partly because of manufacturing bottlenecks for the A-Class compact car in Aguascalientes, Mexico, the Mercedes-Benz van in Charleston, South Carolina, and the Mercedes-Benz GLE SUV in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

US economic growth stronger than expected despite weak demand

Stockpiling by businesses helps provide growth of 3.2% in first quarter of 2019

US economic growth surged in the first three months of the year to 3.2% as the threat of a trade war with China forced businesses to stockpile at the fastest rate since 2015.

Figures from the Department of Commerce showed that a jump in hoarding raw materials and finished goods and an increase in government investment overcame weak consumer spending, a drop in housebuilding and low business investment to send GDP growth well ahead of the 2.2% in the last quarter of 2018.
